A separate collector can sit in an open level position, while the shielded sensor is mounted out of direct reflected heat. The indoor monochrome console shows local readings without adding wind hardware to a small installation. Plan both mounting locations before pairing, and keep the collector clear of overhanging leaves. The stated range is a clear-line guideline; dense walls and nearby electrical equipment can shorten reliable communication.
